Cape to cape to coast - South Africa and Mauritius
Travel from the western cape to the eastern cape of South Africa and end your adventure on the beautiful island of Mauritius. This is the ultimate itinerary for those looking to combine Cape Town with some safari and beach.
Start your holiday in the peaceful winelands outside Cape Town. Relax and unwind after your flight in the beautiful surroundings of the Franschhoek Valley. Indulge yourself with fantastic restaurants and vineyards, where wine tastings are a must. Alternatively, relax by the pool or enjoy a massage.
From Franschhoek, head south to Hermanus where you may be lucky enough to see the southern right whales basking during their annual migration (July to October). It is a wonderful sight and a stunning place to be based with fabulous views over the Atlantic Ocean.
End your western cape adventure in the heart of the cosmopolitan city of Cape Town within walking distance of Kloof and Long Streets’ bars and restaurants. Visit Cape Point, the bustling waterfront, Camps Bay and take the cableway up Table Mountain.
From Cape Town you will fly to the eastern cape and be driven to the beautiful Blaauwbosch Game Reserve for a few days on safari. It is an incredible spot with opportunities to see a variety of species. There is a lovely friendly atmosphere at the lodge and you will be looked after extremely well. The rooms are large and spacious with a terrace area and day bed on which to sit and enjoy the view.
Finally, fly to Mauritius and stay at one of the few bouitique properties on the island. Twenty Degres Sud is small and intimate and within walking distance to Grand Baie, where you can experience more of life on the island.
