Dingy sailing & wind surfing

Many people start their sailing life in a dinghy, as they are accessible and fun for all. Flying across the water, spray in your face, leaning out so far that your head skims the water. The adrenaline and euphoria from a day on the water is proof as to why so many people love to sail. Dinghies come in all shapes and sizes from a little Pico to a Hobie Pacific, and they are all a fantastic way to enjoy the sea. Many hotels offer the option of water sports, but the sailing and windsurfing equipment can vary significantly from place to place.

Mauritius is a great place to enjoy an array of complimentary windsurfing and sailing equipment, and some hotels in the Caribbean, such as Carlisle Bay, offer a more simple selection of equipment. There are many hotels in Europe offering some great sailing, such as the Kempinski Barbaros Bay in Bodrum, and the Columbia Beach Resort in Cyprus. However, water sports in Europe generally come at an additional charge and are run by an outside company from the hotel, so exact equipment may be hard to ascertain. Not every hotel is able to provide sailing tuition, so please ask the individual consultant if this is required.
