Things to Do in Norway
Where to start with the experiences and things to do in Norway. This adventure playground with its raw beauty has something for everyone. The Flaam Railway is open all year round; voted one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world.
The 55-minute journey takes you on one of the steepest train lines as you pass through a breath-taking landscape of steep mountains, glistening fjords and plunging waterfalls. Try your hand at mountain-biking or even white-water rafting. In the winter, Northern Norway is fun to explore on huskies, we love the ice-fishing there, or just look up at the Northern Lights appearing magically above you. Sailing the surrounding archipelago of Ålesund is a lovely way to spend a summer's day, or for something more extreme, suit-up and head out to Runde Island by RIB and catch a glimpse of the local seals and puffins inhabiting the island. Hiking is the number one attraction and varies from gentle trails to more challenging routes where guides are necessary as you pick your way up rocks and narrow paths leading to the peaks and rewarding yourself with the most impressive panoramas.
