Leonard Mok
My love for traveling started at age 16 when I did my first solo trip to Thailand. I had an opportunity to join an international airline at 21 where my love of travel took me to 120 cities in all 7 continents.
Travel takes us out of our comfort zones and inspires us to see, taste and try new things. It constantly challenges us, not only to adapt to and explore new surroundings, but also to engage with different people, to embrace adventures as they come and to share new and meaningful experiences with friends and loved ones. My most significant travel memory is a holiday to Rio De Janeiro – a destination known for colourful carnivals, samba, bossa nova and amazing beaches like Ipanema and Copacabana. On my trip, I visited the Favela, a slum within the glistening city and it was a real eye opener like no other as it showed the enormous divergence between rich and poor.
My travel bucket list is to finish visiting the 7 wonders of the world. I have 3 more wonders left to go - the Taj Mahal located in India, Chichen Itza Iocated in Mexico and Machu Picchu located in Peru!
