He holds degrees in Ecology and Environmental & Geographical Science from the University of Cape Town and Tropical Resource Ecology from the University of Zimbabwe. As a licensed Professional Guide in Zimbabwe, he also has one of the most highly respected guiding qualifications in the world. Ant has led safaris through most countries in southern and eastern Africa since becoming a professional guide in 2000, and has trained numerous guides and managed several lodges and camps.

Charlie Gardner - Madagascar

Growing up in Africa and around the Indian Ocean from an early age, Dr Gardner caught the wildlife bug at a young age. He has been living in Madagascar since 2005 involving himself in conservation as a scientific advisor for WWF as well as Madagascar National Parks and award winning marine conservationists Blue Ventures. Since completing his PHD, Charlie has published 50 scientific papers on Madagascar’s wildlife and the actions to conserve it, including the discovery of several new species previously unknown to science. To top this impressive portfolio off, Dr Gardener also helped with the filming of Sir David Attenborough’s BBC series Madagascar.

Deb Tittle - Zambia

Deb Tittle was born and raised in the UK, after graduating university she set out to make a life in Africa and signed up to drive overland expeditions throughout East, Central and Southern Africa. After several years and visits to many national parks, Deb chose South Luangwa as her home. Some time running tented mobile safaris exposed Deb to walking in the bush and she soon passed her guiding exams. After 22 years of exploring the region and it natural wonders Deb has imparted much of her wisdom to local Zambians whom now enjoy careers as guides and conservationists and set up her very own bush camp in South Luangwa national park where she now leads incredible walking safaris.

Kerry Glen - Kenya

Kerry was born in Kenya and grew up accompanying her parents and brother on safaris all over East Africa. Kerry's father is the sculptor Robert Glen and many of the family expeditions revolved around studying the biology and design of the animals they encountered. After studying Environmental and Geographical studies at the University of Cape Town, Kerry returned to Kenya where she designed and managed Sabuk Lodge where she spent time guiding and training other local guides. In 2005 Kerry and her husband, James Christian, Set up Karisia Walking Safaris, the adventurous walking and camel safaris offered all over Laikipia and Northern Kenya.

Mike McCartney, Ethiopia
Mike McCartney - East Africa

Born and raised in Kenya, Mike has been guiding safaris regularly since the early 1990s. Between 2002 and 2008 he also worked for a conservation organisation affiliated to some of Kenya’s most well respected high-end safari operators. During this period Mike was actively involved in the establishment of the successful community conservation areas and conservancies which have been set up around the world famous Masai Mara National Reserve. He has professional guiding experience in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda and with an easy charm and a quick wit he is very popular with Scott Dunn guests.

Nikita Robb - South Africa

Nikita is an eight-time South African Surf Champion, and one of Africa’s leading Adventure Guides. She’s the Kelly Slater of African women’s’ surfing, and for many years has been Africa’s only female representative on the elite world surf tour. Based in Cape Town, Nikita has risen to become one of South Africa’s leading adventure guides outside of the realms of wildlife safaris in only a few short years. Nikita has a flexible and creative approach to her guiding where each tour is personalised to the guest. Ralph Bousfield - Botswana

Coming from a long line of African pioneers and adventurers Ralph Bousfield’s family has been guiding for five generations. At university Ralph studied Nature Conservation and went on to further his studies under famous George Archibold who was known for captive breeding the whooping crane and saving it from extinction. One of Ralph’s greatest teachers and mentors was his father, Jack Bousfield, who set up the famous Jacks Camp and worked with some of the greatest trackers in Africa. Growing up on safari and working along side the Bushmen of the Botswana wilderness, it was only natural his fathers passions would also become his own. In 1998 Ralph co-produced and presented the sixteen part “Uncharted Africa” for the Discovery Channel.

Born in the Drakensberg Mountains of South Africa, Rodger has been a field guide all over Africa with over 10 years of experience. Since moving to Cape Town, Rodger is considered a true local and has been able to combine his private guiding skills alongside his photographic talent in order to provide guests with experiences in the Cape that are unique, creative and tangible. Rodger has a real nose for discovering hidden gems and loves to share this knowledge with guests.
