Between vineyards and forests, only 20 minutes from the centre of Bordeaux, the architect Yves Collet has created Les Sources de Caudalie from scratch in beautiful contemporary buildings in tune with the surroundings.

Alice and Jérôme Tourbier have managed Les Sources de Caudalie for the past ten years in keeping with the values they hold dear: well-being, generosity, authenticity, high-quality service, and emotion. This hotel is a magical experience.

Each of the forty rooms and nine suites are located in five distinctive cottages, each taking its individual character from its name. Lovingly furnished, they all have a unique décor, featuring antiques, collectible furniture, and fine linens and curtains. Most of them have a terrace or a balcony with beautiful views of the Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte's vineyards or on the lake. For a special occasion or family gathering there is their beautiful mansion, La Chartreuse du Thil.

The superb décor of Château Le Thil, a historic country house built in 1737 and set just a mile from Les Sources de Caudalie, is the epitome of refinement and authenticity. In each of the nine rooms, styles blend and contrast: Jaune Soleil or Rouge Merlot; Retour des Indes or Lascaux... their names evoke their atmosphere, full of surprises and contrast, antique furniture and the wonderful fabrics. The reception rooms open onto each other ideal for special occasions – and where NicolasMasse, Executive Chef of Les Sources de Caudalie, can create delicious lunches and gourmet dinners. It is surrounded by enchanting gardens and breakfast is served table d'hôte style and the restaurants of Les Sources de Caudalie, as well as the Caudalie spa, will be pleased to welcome you.

Whether you relax in their magnificent Spa, visit the gothic wonder of nearby Bordeaux, explore the surrounding area and vineyards of this magnificent wine region, spend a day in the market of St. Emilion or just enjoy the gastronomic secrets of their Michelin star chef in La Grand Vigne restaurant overlooking the lake and vineyards, this somewhere to stop and savour life. There is also La Table du Lavoir with its 18th-century roof timbers which offers delicious more simple 'bistrot' cuisine with original touches and seasonal variations.
