Four Seasons Otemachi
  • Admire the views over the Imperial Palace and Japan’s financial district from the glass walls of this towering hotel.

  • Dine in the clouds on the top floor terrace where Mount Fuji can be seen on a clear day.

  • Relax in the soothing minimalist aesthetic and discreet service after a day of sightseeing.

  • Head to Est for a fusion of French and Japanese cuisine created by a Michelin-starred chef.

In the heart of Otemachi, Tokyo’s financial district, the hotel is located on the top floors (34-39) of the striking Otemachi One Tower, adjacent to the sprawling gardens of the Imperial Palace. The views of both the gardens and the district’s soaring skyscrapers are glorious and on a clear day, you can see Mount Fuji while dining al fresco on the top floor terrace.

The interior design is infused with a Zen-inspired palette of soft neutrals, natural materials and calming water and rock installations. ‘Window Walls’ flood the space with light, while maximising the impact of those mesmerising views. Service is unobtrusive but unwaveringly helpful and polite, with a 24-hour concierge service that can arrange almost anything required.

There are 170 rooms and 20 suites, with a choice of garden or city view. All are spacious and airy, with minimalist neutral décor, ‘window walls,’ iPads and Japanese-inspired touches, including origami-style hanging lights and original artworks by Namiko Kitaura, celebrating Japanese artwork and textiles. Bathrooms have both standalone bathtubs and showers and Deluxe Rooms with Imperial Garden View, offer the opportunity to soak in the bath while admiring the views. For extra room, Studios include more living space, with a daybed, while suites have separate living and bedroom accommodation. Child-friendly, both the Otemachi and Imperial Suites include two bedrooms and there are 35 connecting rooms.

There are four restaurants and bars. The signature restaurant, Est is home to a Michelin-starred chef specialising in contemporary French cuisine with seasonal Japanese influences. Alternatively, head to Pigneto for all-day Italian cuisine, home to a magnificent top floor terrace with impressive views. The Lounge serves a Japanese style afternoon tea, amid reflective water features, while the Art Deco styled bar, Virtù serves delicious French Japanese fusion cocktails and bar snacks.

Housed on the top floor, the gym offers a workout with a view, while the Spa delivers traditional massage treatments, including the signature Yakisugi Forest Renewal Ritual, inspired by forest bathing. In additional, guests can access a 20-metre pool, along with modern Japanese baths.
