Southern Laos

Southern Laos is where the Mekong slams into powerful waterfalls and where pre-Angkor temples soar above the low lying plains. With sleepy Pakse as its hub, the region is peaceful, laid back and entirely unique. The rare Irrawaddy dolphins can be found in a quiet eddy not far from the Cambodian border, and high grade coffee can be purchased from the elevated plantations of the Bolaven plateau.
