Etiquette

Making an effort to learn and use some basic Spanish phrases is always appreciated in Mexico, as is good manners and courtesy. Always ask for permission if taking someone’s photo.

Tipping

The usual propina (tip) at restaurants is 10%, provided a service charge hasn’t already been included in the bill. Tipping private drivers and guides is commonplace.

Many purchases involve a degree of bargaining. This is always the case with things bought from markets and street stalls.

If you hold a full British Passport then you do not require a visa.
