Pelican Point is set 32 kilometres from Walvis Bay on a remote peninsula. The hotel is situated within the renovated harbour control tower, adjacent to the lighthouse which has been safely guiding ships into Walvis Bay Harbour since 1915. Surrounded by nothing but untouched beaches and with only the sound of the waves crashing against the shore, Pelican Point Lodge is a completely unique hotel and its remote location allows guests to completely relax, reflect, unwind and take in the spectacular scenery around them.
When the weather is good, you can relax on the deck and take in the views over the bay and the Namib Desert Dunes in the distance. The wildlife along this stretch of beach is plentiful; take a walk along the peninsula and see the thousands of seals surfing in the waves and basking in the sunshine. Whales and dolphin are also frequently spotted from the deck and jackal often roam right past the lodge. The bird life is also spectacular and damara-terns, cormorants and flamingos feed in the tranquil waters of the lagoon.
