Te Koi the Lodge at Bronte is an exclusive luxury accommodation in a tranquil natural setting close to the stunning Abel Tasman National Park, with golden beaches and miles of stunning walking trails through the native New Zealand forests.
Bronte Country Estate has been at the heart of the same family for five generations
Luxurious, spacious accommodation in a choice of suites or villas
More similar to a warm and welcoming guesthouse than a hotel
Halfway between Nelson city and the Abel Tasman National Park
Overlooking the sparkling tidal waters of the Waimea Estuary on Nelson’s historic Bronte Peninsula, Bronte is surrounded by its extensive mature gardens, a family run vineyard and apple orchards.
New Zealand owned and operated, Bronte houses five purpose built suites and villas set apart from the main homestead amidst beautifully tended gardens with stunning panoramic views out to sea. Enjoy sumptuous breakfasts served on the veranda in warmer months or in the formal dining room with its polished wooden floors and open fire on cooler mornings.
From the private verandas and patios, take in stunning views over the water to distant hills; the ebb and flow of the tide sets the rhythm for white herons, spoonbills, and other estuarine birds stalking gracefully across the inlet. After a day of exploring the beautiful local area, relax and enjoy Bronte’s meandering gardens and parkland, heated swimming pool, tennis court, petanque, mountain bikes, and canoes and the seasonal beauty of the Estate’s 65-acre coastal orchard.
Te Koi the Lodge at Bronte is central to the Nelson region; just a 20-minute drive from the airport, and with its own helipad. It is surrounded by award winning wineries and internationally renowned cafes and galleries, with the Abel Tasman National Park only 45 minutes away.
When to visit
Take a trip to nearby Mapua and visit the galleries (my top being being the Cool Store Gallery) and enjoy fish and chips by the water's edge
