Boquete Hanging Bridges Tour
Experience breath-taking views of the bird, wildlife, and biodiversity of the tropical cloud forest with a suspension bridge tour across the treetops of the Rio Cristal Nature Reserve in the Talamanca Mountains, a hike enriched by your naturalist guide.
With glorious views of the tropical rainforest and Baru Volcano from high in the treetops, this tour is a wonderful way to survey the highland rivers, waterfalls, bird, and wildlife from an aerial perspective. The private Rio Cristal Nature Reserve borders La Amistad International Park (PILA), and your guide will enlighten you and enhance your knowledge of the incredible flora and fauna you will see from this lofty vantage point. The hanging bridges reach heights of up to 75-metres and can range from 70m to 135m in length. Along with the bridges, you’ll also hike several trails, ranging in length from 185m to 1.5km, all at heights exceeding 1.6km above sea level.
The tour lasts around 3.5-hours and participants must be in good physical shape. Transportation to and from the hotel is included, along with an English-speaking naturalist guide and all entrance fees. Do wear suitable closed-toe footwear, long trousers, a light jacket, and insect repellent, as well as bringing a water bottle.
