Machu Picchu, Peru
  • A 25-mile trek through spectacular scenery and fascinating archaeological sites

  • Trek past beautiful views of the Urubamba River and the snow-capped Mount Veronica

  • Learn about the history of how Machu Picchu was rediscovered by Hiram Bingham

  • Reaching the city of Machu Picchu on foot offers the most rewarding views at the end of your trek

The Inca Trail stands out as one of the most fascinating treks in Peru due to the vast amount of history covered and the number of ruins you will explore.

The 3-night, 4-day Inca Trail camping experience takes you through windswept mountain passes, lush tropical jungle and past isolated Inca ruins. Built over 500 years ago, the famous Inca Trail to the ancient city of Machu Picchu was a pilgrimage reserved only for Inca nobility. You'll have the opportunity to trek through some of the most beautiful and varied scenery of any trek in the world, rewarding yourself with views of the hidden city of Machu Picchu which is guaranteed to take your breath away.

The first 3 nights of your trek will be spent in a tented campsite, complete with a dining tent, kitchen tent, latrine tent and sleeping tents. Tents can fit up to two people, with single tents available upon request. At the end of each trekking day, you will be welcomed into camp by your team who will prepare hot meals for your enjoyment. After walking for three days on the morning of the fourth day, from high above the site you can enjoy their first view of magnificent Machu Picchu, followed by a guided tour of the Inca Citadel. After, you'll return on the train from Machu Picchu to your next destination.

It is worth noting that permits for the trail are limited so we recommend booking in advance for your preferred dates.
