Trongsa
Trongsa is a town in Bhutan located between Bumthang and Gangtey. It dates from the 16th century and means 'New Village' in Bhutanese and is famed for its imposing Dzong built in 1644, and was the seat of the Wangchuck dynasty before they became rulers of Bhutan in 1907. It is also worth visiting the watchtower above the Dzong as well as a range of day walks in the local area.
