Stargazing in the Atacama
The pristine skies of Atacama Desert are a stargazer’s paradise. The altitude and bone-dry atmosphere make them incredibly clear, and you can see the planets, stars and galaxies up close with philosopher-cum-astronomer Alain Maury.
If you've ever wondered what really goes on up there, we can organise a fascinating private in depth guided excursion with a world renowned French astronomer to an observatory outside of San Pedro. Get to grips with the Milky Way, planets, moon craters, Saturn's rings, and other wonders of the universe and marvel at the canopy of stars twinkling away through a handful of large telescopes. The tour is limited to the availability of the services of the Alain Maury, and is also not available five days before, day of and 1 day after a full moon.
