Luoping

Home to the Buyi ethnic minority, Luoping is famous for its wide vistas of rapeseed blooms across karst landscapes, which is the largest in the world, with flowering season during the early spring from around the end of February to early March. If you are in Luoping, a side visit to the Jiulong Waterfall is also quintessential.

Jinji Peaks with its conical hills and golden canola flowers are especially stunning, especially during the morning with dozens of peaks floating in the fog. The best spot to watch the Jinji Peaks is from Dahei Hill.

For those with more time, you may also want to visit the Duoyi River-Lubuge Scenic Area where there are 40 waterfalls with ancient wood and tall bamboos on different sides of the river.
