Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex
Rising like a glimmering monolith from the flat plains of the Mongolian steppes, the Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue is a 250-tonne steel monument, built in honour of the first great Khan of the Mongol empire.
Located on the flat plains outside Ulaanbaatar, the Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue soars 40 metres above the steppes, hewn from gleaming stainless steel. Built using private funding, this enormous edifice has been designed to honour the great Chinggis, or Genghis, Khan, founder of the largest land empire in history and has been built where the great Khan purportedly found a golden whip. Take the elevator through the horse’s middle to climb the steps to the head for spectacular panoramic views.
Visit the Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue in Tsonjin Boldog. The massive statue made of 250 tons of gleaming stainless steel will take your breath away.
