Kruger National Park
Very few places epitomise the South African safari experience quite so perfectly as Kruger. With a diverse ecosystem ranging from savannah to tropical forest, granite kopjes to mahogany trees, Kruger supports the full spectrum of documentary-worthy game, including elephant, leopard, rhino, lion, cheetah, giraffe, hippo, buffalo and zebra.
While certain areas of the park are more easily accessed and consequently busier, with 20,000 square kilometres to explore, Kruger is a superb introduction to the Big Five and over 130 other mammals.
