Khao Sok National Park, Thailand
Arguably one of Thailand’s most beautiful national parks, Khao Sok is almost 740 square kilometres of perfect virgin rainforest, thundering waterfalls and dramatic limestone peaks. This expansive and varied terrain makes it a rich habitat for larger mammals such as elephant, gaurs, boars, gibbons and bears as well as 300 bird species and 38 bat varieties.
Khao Sok is also the only place in Thailand to spot the world’s largest flower, the increasingly rare Rafflesia, which flowers just once a year.
