When to visit
Sri Lanka: The island's climate varies by region. From May to September, the North and East enjoy a dry season, while the Maha monsoon from October to January brings rain to these areas. October and November are inter-monsoonal, with occasional showers across the island. Traveling off-season means fewer crowds and lower prices.
Maldives: The Maldives' tropical climate is defined by two monsoons. The dry season runs from December to March, with clear skies and warm temperatures around 30°C. April transitions into the wet season, which lasts from May to November, bringing occasional storms and higher humidity. Despite this, diving and surfing are excellent year-round, with fewer crowds and lower prices during the wet season.
