Despite Rosewood's late arrival in Southeast Asia, the highly regarded hotel group have managed to secure one of Phuket's finest locations on Emerald Bay, with views out to the Andaman Sea. The 71 pavilions and villas are peppered throughout the hillside forest and beachfront, maintaining a private, peaceful and incredibly comfortable feel. It is luxurious but unpretentious; the design is harmonious and soft and aims to blend in rather than detract from the wonderful surroundings.
There are some fabulous dining options, with each restaurant offering a distinctive location and atmosphere. Ta Khai has a relaxed and rustic setting, and here you can enjoy the freshest seafood. Red Sauce offers sophisticated decor and delicious Italian dishes. The Shack is a laid-back and casual spot to enjoy simple seafood and grill options. Mai is the resort's charming chill-out lounge. With a poolside location this is perfect place to sip on a refreshing drink or evening cocktails.
Families are superbly catered for. Not only does the resort have an excellent Kids Club, there are also a number of child-friendly facilities and amenities, including a children's pool and child-size sunloungers. There are also in-villa benefits such as child-size bathrobes, children's shampoo and shower gel and board games.
The cleverly designed free-form pool is broken up by walkways, and there is a dedicated lap area. The wonderful Asaya spa has its own wellness atelier, where hand-selected ingredients are combined to create your own personalised products to be used during any treatments.
