Despite being close to the capital's business district, the island of Bang Kra Jao has a distinctly peaceful feel, with the lush greenery earning it the name of the 'Bangkok Jungle'. You will reach the island by private longtail boat, and accompanied by your own English-speaking guide, you will set off by bicycle on a gentle two-hour journey through this charming area.

The road is surrounded by tropical foliage and crosses over canals, with mangrove forests lining the banks. On the way, you may have the chance to stop off for a chat with locals and visit market stalls displaying an array of fresh produce.

During the ride, you will be able to refuel with snacks from one of the many street food stalls, and if you are there over the weekend, you will also be able to visit Bang Nam Phueng, a large local market.

This tour can start at around 8.30am or 1pm, and will last roughly half a day, including transfers to and from your hotel.

Please note that the start and the end of this cycling trip will take you slowly through Bangkok traffic, and on Bang Kra Jao, the ride is partially on narrow 1m wide, and 1m high elevated pathways over the mangroves. All riders need to be comfortable navigating pathways.
