Carlisle Bay

Carlisle Bay, Antigua is one of the Caribbean's most exclusive resorts. A contemporary and luxurious hotel situated in a quiet cove on the unspoilt south coast, with a backdrop of lush tropical rainforest, it is a haven for relaxation and watersports.

Antigua
  • Sink into serenity at the Cara Spa as your cares are soothed away by expert hands, where the gentle rustle of swaying trees and balmy Caribbean breeze transports you to inner calm.

  • Fall into the azure waters and powder sand of Carlisle Bay, where rainforests fringe the resort and contemporary elegance makes for a dreamy escape.

  • Feast on fresh seafood seductively laced with exotic spices from the orient at East, one of Antigua’s most sought after and stylish restaurants. Shake off the sand and dress to impress.

  • Live out your Robinson Crusoe fantasies as you recline in the dappled palm shade of a deserted island, turquoise waters sparkling as you sample delights from your private picnic hamper. Charter a boat for halcyon afternoon none will forget.

A member of Leading Small Hotels of the World, Carlisle Bay has firmly established itself as the place to stay on Antigua.

The hotel offers 87 luxuriously appointed suites with cool, calm interiors and fantastic ocean views from your own private terrace or balcony. The rooms have been interior designed by Mary Fox Linton and combine stylish minimalism with comfort – nothing has been forgotten here, right down to the Gaggia coffee machines provided in each room and oversize day beds available on every balcony or terrace.

Carlisle Bay has four outstanding restaurants; Indigo on the Beach offering delicious healthy grills, barbecues and seafood, East restaurant serving mouth-watering Asian cuisine in a stunning contemporary space, Ottimo! located by the pool and featuring a wood-burning pizza oven and classic Italian dishes and The Jetty Grill - a casual venue for adults only, offering light lunches, a selection of fresh grills and wine by the carafe - all served just steps away from the ocean.

There are also three bars, the exceptional Spa featuring six luxurious treatment rooms, saunas, plunge pools, hair salon, chill-out zone and a yoga and pilates pavilion, a fitness centre with an array of fitness lessons (payable locally) and fitness classes (first class is complimentary), a library, no less than nine tennis courts and a luxurious private screening room for movies – kids movies in the early afternoon and adults post dinner.

An experienced team operate a variety of watersports including sailing, snorkelling and kayaking adventures. You can explore the surrounding area with a boat excursion, an island tour, or guided hike through the rainforest directly from the beach. As an incredibly family friendly resort, Carlisle Bay has excellent facilities for children, including clubs suitable for all ages with a very experienced team, comprehensive programme and wonderful indoor and outdoor space for children to explore.
