Set in the stunning countryside of Queensland, Spicers Peak Lodge is a luxurious retreat within easy reach of Brisbane. Taking inspiration from the pristine high country setting, the lodge has been created with its natural environment in mind. Warm, muted colours have been incorporated in the interior design to echo the natural materials of stone, timber, tin and glass on the outside.
With only ten luxurious Suites and two Private Lodges, Spicers Peak Lodge serves as an intimate and relaxing accommodation experience in one of South East Queensland's most beautiful wilderness areas. Suites are spacious and comfortable and set within the main lodge, some with stone fireplaces for chillier winter evenings.
Separate from the main lodge are two Private Lodges which provide a home away from home whilst enjoying the full use of the main lodge’s facilities. Situated on the edge of the escarpment with expansive views of Spicers Gap and the valleys beyond and cocooned in tranquil isolation, Private Lodge guests can indulge in a plethora of creature comforts including private outdoor infinity spas with gorgeous views, outdoor chaise lounges and luxurious interiors. Their location is so private, they are visible only from the air.
Dining at Spicers Peak Lodge is a real highlight, with absolutely beautiful surrounds, the cosy ambience of a log fire and the smell of something delicious being prepared in the kitchen. The wine list matches the calibre of the cuisine, both are strongly inspired by the Scenic Rim and Granite Belt regions with chef and sommelier working together to create perfect matches.
Those who enjoy slightly more strenuous activity are well catered for and sightseeing is always a pleasure in this spectacular Scenic Rim location. Massages and beauty treatments are very popular in the spa, after a long day's hiking or mountain biking through the hinterland scenery.
When to visit
Have chef prepare a gourmet picnic hamper with champagne that can be delivered to one of many scenic picnic locations around the 9,000 acre
