Hotel Maiensee, named after a local lake, is an extremely welcoming and stylish boutique family run hotel in this stunning area of St. Christoph. The Traxl family and their attentive staff pride themselves on making sure your stay with them is as comfortable as possible, with delicious gourmet cuisine, roaring log fires and cosy surroundings.  
The location of the hotel is a winning feature, boasting exclusive ski-in/ski-out access. Set right on the slope and next to the St Christophbahn four-man chairlift, you can ski straight from the front door to St Anton, or take the shuttle bus to Zurs and Lech, ready to explore over 340km of pistes. The nursery slopes and ski school are located directly opposite, making it incredibly convenient for beginners.  
As soon as you arrive you will be struck by the friendly and homely atmosphere that the hotel exudes, with lots of rustic and traditional features with stylish contemporary touches throughout. All the rooms and suites have been beautifully renovated to showcase a chic contemporary design, creating a tranquil retreat after a busy day in the mountains. Boasting high quality wooden furnishings, luxurious marble bathrooms, and gorgeous alpine views. 
The winning combination of a superb location and exceptionally friendly service makes the Hotel Maiensee a special place to stay. Austrian home cooking as well as international classics are available all day in the Maiensee Stuben restaurant with its open fire and wooden panelled walls creating an atmospheric restaurant, with a varied menu available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is of a high standard, with much produce sourced from local farmers. Choose from one of the many wines that are found in the hotel's cellar, cut deep into the bedrock. The Maiensee Burger Bar is the perfect spot to soak up the casual atmosphere, chilled music and enjoy juicy homemade burgers. The 1901 Lounge & Bar has a more modern Alpine design, named after the founding of the world's oldest ski club - the Skiclub Arlberg - in St Christoph itself, it's decorated with cowhides and boasts a sunny terrace - perfect for delicious aperitifs or refreshing cocktails.  
The hotel has a small Spa offering a range of holistic treatments, along with a sauna, crystal steam bath, solarium, jacuzzi and mineral showers and offers a range of aromatherapy treatments and massages. There is also a modern fitness room with the latest Technogym equipment

Location

St Christoph, Austria

Hotel Maiensee is in the tiny village of St Christoph, with easy access to the entire Arlberg ski area. The nearest lifts are the Maiensee T-Bar and St Christoph Bahn. There is also a regular shuttle bus between Lech, Zurs, Stuben, St Christoph and St Anton, which useful for any non-skiers in the party, or for a quick transfer to another resort with skis.

It is a 1 hour 45 minute international flight from London followed by a 1 hour 15 minute transfer from Innsbruck. Later in the season, flights go to Zurich, with a 2 hour 30 minute transfer to St Christoph.
