Shinde Concession

Bordering the northern edge of the Moremi Game Reserve, the Shinde Concession shares the lagoons, waterways, and palm islands that make this part of the Okavango Delta such a rich habitat for both large game and prolific birdlife. Lion, cheetah and leopard are drawn to the region by the density of antelope that are able to navigate the unstable reed beds of the lagoons.

Much of this landscape is best discovered by mokoro (dugout canoe), paddling across the floodplains past egrets, pelicans, herons and storks. Traditional game drives and walking safaris on the islands get you closer to the larger game as they in turn stalk their prey.
