Puzhehei
Home to numerous ethnic groups including the Miao, Yao, Yi, Bai and Zhuang people, Puzhehei is one of China's best kept secrets with its unspoiled karst-dotted lakes, which is reminiscent of Guilin but with relatively less crowd.
Puzhehei is suitable to visit in all seasons, although July and August are popular among domestic tourists due to the added bonus of lotus flower blooms and the local "Painted Face Festival".
