Duration
Full Day
A full day in the countryside north of Lijiang which boasts some of China's most beautiful and diverse landscapes. You will be driven first to Shigu to see the Yangtze River in its infancy where it goes on to meet the Tiger Leaping Gorge.
With 4,000ft cliffs on each side this breathtaking gorge is named such because legend says that trying to escape from a hunter, the tiger leaped across the river at its narrowest point. High above you, take in the snow covered Jade Dragon Mountain and Haba Snow Mountain, which casts a shadow over the valley and the exquisitely tranquil villages where residents spend their days tending to their verdant and hilly farmland.
