Located in the depths of the Ecuadorian Amazon, Sacha Lodge is a unique, rustic eco-lodge which offers memorable adventures exploring the rainforest from the moment you step off the plane in Coca.

Sacha Lodge provides comfortable accommodation in wooden cabins with high thatched roofs and private shaded terraces that are connected by raised wooden walkways, allowing you to be immersed in the jungle in comfort. When not busy exploring the rainforest, it is possible to observe wildlife such as toucans, agoutis and monkeys right from the terraces on each of the cabins.

A variety of excursions are included in each stay at Sacha Lodge which offer a perfect introduction to the unique and varied ecosystem of the Amazon. Head out with a guide and enjoy canoeing along blackwater creeks, piranha fishing, night walks through the jungle, visits to a nearby parrot clay-lick and swimming in the lake in front of the lodge. Guests are divided into small groups each day and led by a native guide and a bilingual naturalist guide educated in the biology and ecology of the area.

One of Sacha Lodge’s highlights is the 43-metre tall observation tower. Situated on a hill and constructed around a giant kapok tree for stability, the tower allows guests to climb into and above the rainforest canopy for a magnificent view of the surrounding area. There is also a huge canopy walkway which sits approximately 30 meters up in the forest canopy and measures 275 meters long, providing guests an opportunity to walk through the treetops at their own pace and take in the stunning surroundings.
