La Bastide de Gordes retains a classical 18th-Century theme throughout the property with walls ordered with portraits and tapestries and your room key even arrives in the form of a decorative shield! Some rooms feature traditional roll-top, claw-footed, free-standing baths and have spectacular, uninterrupted views either over the valley or overlooking the quaint village. As well as paintings, you will also find wood sculptures, period furniture and ornamental artefacts throughout the hotel, creating an authentic, regal atmosphere.

This beautiful hotel offers everything you may need for a comfortable stay with 4 restaurants, a spa and fitness centre, a bar, children’s club, separate adults and children’s pools and stunning terraces with gorgeous views over the valley and surrounding village. Gordes is known as one of the most beautiful villages in France with a medieval castle and cobbled alleyways winding through dry-stone houses. There are many art galleries to visit in the village and staying at the hotel, you are perfectly situated to explore the surrounding area.

The Sisley spa has a large indoor pool, a hammam, sauna, sensory showers and uses the well sought-after Sisley products. There is also a well-equipped fitness room and, of course, a large range of treatments on offer, which you may even choose to take outside on the private terrace. Outside, the inviting swimming pool overlooks the valley, surrounded by lush gardens.

Children are exceptionally well looked after here with a separate children’s pool, a games room, arcades, table football and much more to keep them occupied. The hotel also organise Treasure hunts and Olympiads and younger guests can even enjoy their own brunch on the terrace, so that adults can have some peace and privacy. There are also interconnecting room options creating an array of possibilities for families of all sizes.

For meals, the hotel features La Citadelle, by day a historic restaurant serving traditional Provencal cuisine and by night L’Orangerie, offering a bistro-setting and a selection of Mediterranean products. Clover on the top terrace has been created by Jean-François Piège and uses simple grill and spit cooking methods to showcase fantastic local produce within a ‘country house’ style décor. Down in the village, you will also find a small Italian restaurant which serves up delicious pizzas, pastas and salads with a shady terrace to enjoy watching the daily activity of the village. For something a little different Le TIGrr is also located in the village and focuses on cocktails and Asian cuisine, with DJs playing a relaxed set to enhance the ambiance.

The rooms and suites have views either over the pretty village of Gordes or over the expansive valley. Most rooms are decorated in traditional, patterned wallpaper, adding a striking contrast to the dark wood furniture. Others feature refined wood panelling and wall murals, complimenting the traditional ornaments and period furniture. There is also a separate dressing area and bathrooms have terracotta tiled floors with either a shower or bath. The large suites have a seating area and some also enjoy a beautiful terrace and there are a number of interconnecting options.

For large groups, or families, La Maison de Constance offers an enclosed 3-story, 4-bedroom house complete with private gardens and swimming pool. The rooms are all en-suite and there is also a kitchen, dining room and lounge. Guests staying here still enjoy all the facilities of the hotel making this a perfect choice for those looking for some space and privacy.
