Samode Haveli is a 150-year-old merchant’s house located within the old walled city of Jaipur. Originally built by Rawal Sheo Singh, a Prime Minister in the royal court, the house and gardens have been intimately restored and offer a charming yet rustic stay in Jaipur.
The hotel has 50 rooms each of them different, ranging from elegantly furnished suites to uncomplicated double rooms. Rooms boast mosaics and painted arches and are decorated with old hunting photographs, family portraits, and other historic artefacts giving you a glimpse of what royal life was like. Amenities include a well-stocked minibar, coffee and tea makers and satellite TV. The en-suite bathrooms offer a range of organic toiletries.
There is a charming dining room, which serves traditional Indian food. There are also a number of courtyards leading to stunning gardens, which contain a swimming pool surrounded by large Thai-style day beds.
Relax and unwind in the hotel's spa offering traditional Ayurvedic treatments, a steam room and a gym.
The hotel is very peaceful and it is difficult to believe that from this sanctuary you can stroll out into the bustling city streets of Jaipur, which, as the capital of Rajasthan, is laden with stunning palaces, forts, temples and gardens. The hotel will be happy to arrange sightseeing tours to explore these architectural gems and of course we can arrange full sightseeing for you too whilst you are in Jaipur with one of our excellent guides.
