This historic landmark of the city dates from the 12th century, when it served as a shelter for the Knights Templar on their way to the Crusades. Ornate public areas boast soaring frescoed ceilings, chandeliers of Murano glass, antique furniture, marble staircases, and fabulous works of art.

Breakfast is taken in the Marco Polo ballroom, adorned with beautiful 18th century frescoes by the school of Tiepolo.

Ideally positioned a stone’s throw from Piazza San Marco, right in the heart of Venice facing the San Marco Basin and the island of San Giorgio, the Luna Hotel Baglioni is situated a short distance from the most famous historical and artistic attractions of the city.

It is a 2-hour British Airways flight to Venice Airport. Private water taxi directly to the hotel from the airport dock takes about 30-minutes. Alternatively, the Alilaguna (public water-ferry) leaves every hour from the airport dock to San Marco and takes about 40-minutes. The Venezia Santa Lucia train station is 2 km from the hotel (15-minutes by taxi-boat). A private jetty at the hotel entrance allows motorboats and gondolas to moor.
