The family run Hotel Fanes Dolomiti enjoys an amazing location overlooking the quiet village of San Cassiano and the impressive peaks of the Dolomites. Guests are given warm welcomes and nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff here. The service, food and location makes guests and their children return year after year.

Families are very welcome here, in typical Italian style, and there is a supervised miniclub available for children aged 4+ with activities including a visit to the hotel's own farm next door.

Rooms are comfortable and stylishly decorated, and the restaurants, bar and living areas are cosy and welcoming. The newly built chalets are the perfect option for guests looking for more spacious and luxurious accommodation. The food here is truly delicious and a treat for those who love Italian food. There's a huge choice at the vitality breakfast which features champagne and salmon on a Sunday, the breakfast sets you up for an active day and the fine dining in the evening uses only the best quality ingredients. The extensive Spa is definitely worth a visit, with a huge range of treatments, made all the more special with its floor to ceiling windows and views of the mountains. The addition of the new 'Sky Pool' and jacuzzi really top this off as, the 25m outdoor pool, set alongside the jacuzzi on a raised platform, is where you can sit an sip a cocktail or fruit juice and admire the panoramic views.

With a wealth of activities around the area, it is popular with walkers, cyclist and climbers, the complimentary hire of mountain bikes, rucksacks and walking poles make it even more accessible. Enthusiastic about their local area the hotel even run their own active program featuring themed walks, guided sports and fitness, Nordic walking and mountain treks as well as a relaxation program with aquagym and stretching.

The Dolomites are situated in the southern Alps in the north of Italy and are very popular for road and mountain bikers along with hikers. The hikes available vary from family friendly to more challenging options where a mountain guide can be arranged. During the summer, the Dolomites turn from white to green and a number of cable cars and chairlifts are open to take walkers or cyclist up to the peaks . Other activities to enjoy include a wide range from paragliding to white-water rafting.

The Hotel Fanes is also ideal for skiing in Winter.

Not far from the Austrian border, the Hotel Fanes is in the heart of the Italian Dolomites in the tiny village of San Cassiano in Badia. The Dolomites are a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site.

From London it is a 2-hour flight, followed by a 1-hour 45-minute private transfer from Innsbruck or a 3-hour one from Venice. Alternatively, Hotel Fanes has it's own helicopter landing pad for this who wish to arrive in style.
