Sun City Camp

Sun City Camp is a permanent camp with lovely views of the desert and friendly service. The camp offers Bedouin-style fixed tents or modern globe tents. You can lie back, relax, watch the sunset and experience the desert at night

Wadi Rum, Jordan
Sun City Camp
  • Experience traditional Bedouin hospitality and cuisine

  • The camp enjoys spectacular views from the front but it is important to note that there is a larger camp close by to the rear

  • Each tent has a private bathroom and patio with views over the desert

  • There are either traditional goat-hair tents, or more modern globe-style 'martian' tents to choose from

En route to Sun City Camp, or once you have reached the camp, you will have the chance to visit all the sites of interest within the desert. This includes Lawrence’s springs, Khazali Canyon and the Rock Bridge. There is plenty to see before the most dramatic views of Wadi Rum appear as the sun sinks below the horizon.

The goat-hair tents are en-suite and have fairly modern interiors, although they are still quite basic. The globe-style 'martian' tents have more modern facilities, with en-suite bathrooms, a stove and hot air unit. The camp has its own dining tent with low-rise tables offering a sumptuous BBQ with salads, mezzeh and soft drinks.

Although the camp enjoys fantastic views of the desert from the front, it is important to note that there is a much larger camp very close by. The camps do not share facilities, however it may impact how 'exclusive' your experience feels.
