Backdoor Walk from Little Petra

Our backdoor walk follows the ancient Nabatean route from Wadi Ghurab amidst sandstone mountains, which leads the way to Petra. skirting around the mountain rock terrace and narrowing into a hidden plateau above the Wadi Siyyagh.

The spectacular views of the ever-expanding horizon as you climb will reveal the imposing man-made Monastery towering above you (around a 4-hour hike from Little Petra). Afterwards, you will continue to explore the other Nabataean monuments of Petra, such as Pharaoh's Castle and the Triumphal Arch, ending at the Treasury and the Siq. You need to be reasonably fit for some climbs.

[Please note that the path is mostly exposed to direct sunlight; hence, we recommend bringing your sunscreen, hat, and plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.]
