The Rosewood Luang Prabang is a luxurious resort, ideal for nature lovers who want to be within easy reach of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Luang Prabang. Surrounded by soaring hills, streams and waterfalls, the property has wonderful views over the stunning Laos countryside and beautiful town of Luang Prabang.
Widely considered as one of Asia’s finest historic cities, Luang Prabang is brimming with gleaming temples home to saffron robed monks, charming colonial buildings and wonderful cafes and restaurants along the Mekong River. Whilst there are plenty of things to do in the surrounding area, the Rosewood Luang Prabang is also a lovely place to unwind, with gorgeous rooms, an inviting oval-shaped pool and an impressive tranquil spa.
The exquisitely designed and wonderfully spacious rooms are spread across a number of locations; choose from the Riverside Rooms and Riverside Suites close to the heart of the resort, the Waterfall Pool Villas with private pools or The Hilltop Tents, with sweeping views over the valley.
The rooms, created by world-renowned designer Bill Bensley, offer plenty of privacy and are beautifully decorated, combining traditional Laotian design with modern luxury. With only 23 rooms, but approximately 90 staff, we expect the service to be excellent.
As with all other Rosewood hotels, dining is a delightful treat at the Rosewood Luang Prabang. As the name suggests, the Elephant Bridge Bar is located on a wooden bridge across the river, offering a range of drinks and snacks in an atmopsheric setting. The Great House is situated by the hotel's lobby, serving delicious local cuisine. With a 'farm-to-table' concept, the menu changes daily, using fresh ingredients from the area's nearby farms and markets.
We feel that the Rosewood Luang Prabang is one of Lao's finest new hotels, and it is the ideal option for those who prefer to stay outside the city and surround themselves with beautiful scenery in a serene setting.
