MY Nature Resort

Basic but comfortable, MY Nature Resort is perfectly located for visiting the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre; often a highlight of any Borneo itinerary. The rainforest setting also provides great opportunities for wildlife spotting.

MY Nature Resort
  • Great for a one-night stop to visit the Sepilok Organutan Rehabilitation Centre and Sun Bear sanctuaries

  • My Nature Resort is quite basic, but all the rooms have air conditioning and views towards the rainforest

  • One of the few rainforest properties to have a swimming pool - a welcome relief from the heat!

  • A 1,000 foot long boardwalk provides a great opportunity for a guided night walk in the rainforest

Like much of the accommodation in Borneo, a stay at My Nature Resort is much more about the wildlife experience rather than the hotel's facilities. However, whilst the rooms may be fairly simple, they do have welcome benefits such as air-conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and TVs. Most of the rooms also have balconies, allowing you to sit out and listen to the sounds of the rainforest. With all of the rooms facing towards the trees, the views are lush and green.

The 24 rooms are spread out across 12 chalets. There are two bedroom options which share a bathroom, making this a good option for families travelling with younger children.

The resort embraces its wonderful natural surroundings, and feels very secluded and peaceful. There is a 1,000 foot long boardwalk around the property that winds into the rainforest. Guests can go on guided night walks along the boardwalk to try and spot wildlife including colourful sleeping birds, bright green vipers and adorable slow lorises. There is also a large viewing platform where guests can gather with drinks and snacks to try and catch site of flying squirrels gliding between the trees.

Another bonus is that MY Nature Resort has a small but pleasant swimming pool, which offers a lovely respite from the day's heat. There is one restaurant which serves simple but hearty cuisine for buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The resort aims to be as eco-friendly as possible, with a solar panel and biodegradable toiletries.
