Like much of the accommodation in Borneo, a stay at My Nature Resort is much more about the wildlife experience rather than the hotel's facilities. However, whilst the rooms may be fairly simple, they do have welcome benefits such as air-conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and TVs. Most of the rooms also have balconies, allowing you to sit out and listen to the sounds of the rainforest. With all of the rooms facing towards the trees, the views are lush and green.
The 24 rooms are spread out across 12 chalets. There are two bedroom options which share a bathroom, making this a good option for families travelling with younger children.
The resort embraces its wonderful natural surroundings, and feels very secluded and peaceful. There is a 1,000 foot long boardwalk around the property that winds into the rainforest. Guests can go on guided night walks along the boardwalk to try and spot wildlife including colourful sleeping birds, bright green vipers and adorable slow lorises. There is also a large viewing platform where guests can gather with drinks and snacks to try and catch site of flying squirrels gliding between the trees.
Another bonus is that MY Nature Resort has a small but pleasant swimming pool, which offers a lovely respite from the day's heat. There is one restaurant which serves simple but hearty cuisine for buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The resort aims to be as eco-friendly as possible, with a solar panel and biodegradable toiletries.
