Borneo Rainforest Lodge is set beside the Danum River, tucked away amongst pristine primary rainforest. Within the surrounding area there are more than 275 species of bird and 110 species of mammal, including the pygmy elephant and wild orangutan, making this one of the best places for viewing Borneo's wildlife.
The accommodation at Borneo Rainforest Lodge is fairly basic but it is clean and comfortable. All of the rooms are en-suite and have overhead fans. Premium Chalets feel a bit more luxurious, and these also have small private pools. There are only 30 chalets in total, meaning each guest receives a tailored experience during their stay.
The lodge really does have the wow-factor in terms of location and experience, and given how remote it is, the facilities and standards here are of a perhaps surprisingly very high standard. There is a wonderful range of activities available, including rainforest walks, bird watching, canopy walks, river tubing and night safaris. The guides here are some of the best in the country, and will enhance your stay with their knowledge and passion for the rainforest and its inhabitants.
