Best time to visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
The best time to visit the UAE is between October and April when temperatures hang around the mid-20s and the humidity is under control. The month of Ramadan means hotel rates are heavily discounted, but while outside the resort, Ramadan is strictly adhered to, within the resorts you will notice very little difference. High summer (July and August) is best avoided due to the extremely high temperatures, where it can regularly reach 50c, with 100% humidity. The Maldives has a tropical climate distinguished by two seasons, or monsoons: the dry northeast monsoon which runs from December to March, and the wet southwestern monsoon from May to November, with more strong winds and rain. April is a transitional period noted for clear water and heat. The temperature remains remarkably consistent at around 30°C. February to April is the hottest period and resorts are almost all operating at capacity during this period. Mid-December to early January comes at even more of a premium due to Christmas and New Year and prices are even higher. Easter and the Italian holiday week in August also attract peak prices at most resorts. Storms are more likely from May to November, though it’s still warm, skies can be cloudy and the humidity is higher. This is the low season, with fewer people and lower prices, with the exception of August.

Day 4-9

Niyama: Family Bliss and Kids Club Fun

After exploring the wonders of Saadiyat Island, jet off to the Maldives for five unforgettable nights at Niyama Private Islands. This unique dual-island resort caters to families with the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. While parents rejuvenate with spa treatments or yoga on "Chill" island, the children will dive into an array of exciting activities on "Play" island at the Scott Dunn Explorers Kids Club. Next, a short flight transports you to paradise: Niyama Private Islands, Maldives, where five nights of tropical bliss await. Perfectly balancing relaxation and adventure, Niyama’s dual-island concept offers the best of both worlds. "Chill" island is ideal for laid-back moments, while "Play" island overflows with excitement, including the world-class Scott Dunn Explorers Kids Club, designed for children aged 12 months to 12 years. Here, your little ones can join treasure hunts, try their hand at cooking classes, or make new friends in an island paradise. While the children are entertained, parents can indulge in rejuvenating treatments at Drift Spa or find inner peace with sunrise yoga. Your little explorers can embark on thrilling adventures, including a speedboat ride across the Indian Ocean to spot playful dolphins, or join the island’s marine biologist to participate in a coral rehabilitation program, learning about preserving the Maldives’ vibrant ecosystem. They’ll also enjoy a snorkel safari on the house reef nursery, where they’ll encounter colourful marine life up close. Together, families can embark on underwater adventures, from exploring the magic of marine life on glass-bottom boat tours to trying out surf lessons.
