Ultimate Luxury

Cuixmala

Built among a landscape of sprawling green acres, coconut groves, jagged coastline and fragrant fruit plantations, Cuixmala is a unique collection of luxurious private villas and casitas by Sir James Goldsmith.

Costalegre, Pacific Coast, Mexico
  • Remember to take your binoculars as the estate is home a wide range of habitats so you might spot one of the 270 migratory birds, roaming zebras, jaguars or even an iguana.

  • Set within a 25,000 acre nature reserve - hiring a car is a must as the area is vast and to visit the beaches

  • Ecology is an integral part of the Cuixmala experience- the vegetables used in the restaurant are all grown on the estate’s biodynamic farm so very much a focus on farm-to-fork dining.

  • Plenty of activities to choose from whilst staying at Cuixmala including horseback riding (remember to bring some sturdy shoes), ocean kayaking, fishing and snorkelling.

The fabulous Cuixmala private estate, nestled amid 25,000 acres of lush vegetation, lagoons and beaches, has four magnificent houses which are all fully staffed and sumptuously decorated in Mexican, European and Moorish design. For couples and smaller groups, there are nine casitas with a shared pool, clubhouse and restaurant serving mouth-watering dishes using ingredients from the estate's own organic farm and highland ranch.

Ecology is an integral part of the Cuixmala experience and the Chamela-Cuixmala Biosphere Reserve offers guests a unique opportunity of up-close encounters with exotic flora and fauna. White tail deer roam freely on the vast acreage, and sea turtles nest on the property’s shores (Jul to Oct). The coconut plantation and the organic farm is where most of the food consumed on the property comes from. With its unparalleled freshness, the food served at Cuixmala is simply delicious.

During your stay at Cuixmala take part in the complimentary activities: go snorkelling or kayaking, play tennis, spot birds and the sea turtles that nest at Casa Rio, take out a mountain bike or learn to surf. Additional activities such as horseback riding, lagoon tours, sailing, fishing, boat tours, golf, polo and scuba diving outside Cuixmala can easily be arranged.
