Lunch at a saffron farm
For a special lunch experience whilst in the Atlas Mountains, we recommend a Saffron farm where you can learn more about traditional herbs and their medicinal features.
The picnic-style lunch is at a farm that specialises in the cultivation of the delicate Saffron Crocus flower and the production of this costly spice. Enjoy a saffron tea in the beautiful gardens of the farm, along with a private tour of the bio gardens to understand more about the herbs grown there and their medicinal features. Take in more of the mountain scenery, including red-roofed Berber villages perched on hills so steep that the homes appear to be stacked one on top of another and communities using the clear streams in the valley for washing their clothes in a region mostly untouched by the centuries.
