Etendeka Walking Trails offers up two simple but comfortable camps which bring guests closer to nature and to experience the best of the Namibian night sky. These rustic camps have five sleeping platforms each which have been raised off the ground to ensure guests safety and comfort. Beds are simple with inflatable mattresses and 100% cotton linen and duvets with each room coming with a toilet and washbasin attached to the platform, as well as communal open-air bathrooms with bucket showers between the platforms. The platforms come complete with a shaded area for respite from the hot afternoons, which can also be folded away in the evenings so guests can fall asleep under the night sky.
Although some level of fitness is required for this walking trails experience, each day can be tailored to guests need and bags will be transported by a vehicle each day. You should be aware that days can be quite hot and guests should come prepared with a hat, sunscreen and a walking stick. This walk is in the wilderness and there could be animals around; although guides do not carry weapons, but are well trained to avoid conflict with animals and always carry a radio.
