Fish River Lodge is a 20 bedroom lodge set within the Canyon Nature Park right on the western edge of the world famous Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon in the world and the lodge has been designed to make the most of the unparalleled views.

The lodge was designed by Namibian architect Andy Chase and the neutral colour palette and floor to ceiling windows and doors throughout the lodge have clearly been designed to take full advantage of the breathtaking views over the Canyon and down to the Fish River below. The lodge is positioned right on the rim of the canyon and the Nature Park itself covers 450 square kilometres.
There are twenty spacious rooms at the lodge and each one sits right on the crater rim, each room has a private veranda from which guests can relax and enjoy the spectacular sunsets over the canyon. The main area of the lodge has an infinity pool to cool off in during the warmer months and in the cooler evenings, enjoy a delicious dinner by the fire.
Fish River Canyon is the second most visited tourist site in Namibia second only to Etosha National Park. Fish River Lodge offers a totally unique hiking experience trekking 64 kilometres along the western side of the canyon away from the hikers trekking the eastern side of the canyon. For anyone who enjoys the comfort of the lodge over camping there is also a day canyon hike or drive where you can also swim in the permanent rock pools and try and spot kudu, oryx and the elusive mountain zebra
When to visit
Go for a hike down to the canyon floor followed by a refreshing swim in one of the natural rock pools!

Fish River Lodge is situated on the western side of the famous Fish River Canyon.
11-hours 50-minute British Airways flight from London Heathrow to Cape Town International Airport followed by a flight to Windhoek and short flight or long drive or a self-drive from Cape Town stopping en route.
