With impressive panoramic views from each well-appointed room, Safarihoek offers the perfect place for an escape from the busy hustle and bustle of life. The lodge has been built high above the savannah on a wooden platform, allowing you to soak up beautiful Namibian vistas and to keep an eye out for animals visiting the watering hole below. Eleven chalets offer the opportunity for some privacy and relaxation, whilst being able to enjoy the stunning views from the comfort of a private deck.
The main areas are spacious and welcoming with a large lounge area, bar and dining room framed by large glass windows to open the space to the vistas for which the lodge has been built to enjoy. A large deck surrounding the swimming pool is the perfect place to relax during hotter days and evenings, while another cosy outdoor seating area is warmed by a fireplace for the colder months. A boma area also offers a spectacular setting to complement a relaxed, stylish dining under the African skies.
A stay at Safarihoek would not be complete without heading out on morning and afternoon game drives in the Etosha Heights Private Reserve to try to find the elusive black and white rhino the area is so well known for. Ensure you wrap up warm as you head out after dark to explore the area on a night drive and see what nocturnal animals might be hiding in the dark. With some prior organisation, you could also take your evening meal in the middle of the wilderness where you can enjoy peace, tranquillity and uninterrupted views.
Etosha Heights Private Reserve and Safarihoek work together to actively contribute to ongoing conservation projects within the reserve and this part of Namibia. Etosha Heights hosts the Etosha Rand Lion Conservation Project, an organisation who works hard to protect the lion from human-wildlife conflict; as well as hosting and assisting the researchers of the Namibia National Cheetah Survey. Dedication to these kinds of projects ensures the protection and longevity of big game.
