As much as 70% of the region is protected as National and Marine Park and many of the activities focus on this beautiful environment. Nearby Blue Pearl Bay and Langford Spit (both accessible by speedboat) are ideal for snorkelling and picnic lunches. Day trips to other islands and remote reefs can be arranged by boat, by seaplane or by helicopter. There are nature trails, a 9-hole putting green and a variety of classes that you might like to join.
The Great Barrier Reef offers some of the most spectacular diving to be experienced anywhere in the world. Hayman operates a fleet of custom-made dive boats, speedboats and ocean cruisers. Larger vessels are specially equipped to explore the outer reef, while Reef Dancer, their semi-submersible craft, is a great way to view the undersea world of coral formations and tropical fish. As part of a coral atoll, Hayman also offers remarkable snorkelling and scuba experiences, especially at Blue Pearl Bay on the other side of the island. Hayman offers everything from a 10-minute try-dive experience to full PADI Open Water certification, all geared to get you out there enjoying the corals and tropical fish quickly and safely.
