Whether it be soaking up Christmas magic in Lapland or carving up fresh powder snow in the Alps, Europe is well and truly open for business in winter. Batten down the hatches and snuggle up in a remote hunting lodge, don your cosiest knit and tuck into a fondue with the family or soak in a steaming hot natural spring to beat the winter blues once and for all.

Spring breathes new life into Europe. Shutters swing open in cities across the continent, temperatures become more mild and early birds dip their toes in the Med. Throughout the summer, Europe basks in sunshine. Across the continent, leisurely days are best spent by the beach or enjoying an alfresco lunch, or two. There is nothing we love more than a week on the Med but look further afield, to the crystal clear waters of the Dalmatian Coast, to the majestic Alps or to the endless days of Scandinavia for a European escape that will tick the boxes for a romantic escape, an active break or a family getaway.

In autumn, Europe turns to gold as the trees don their autumn jackets and the continent begins to wrap up warm for winter. In the south, long, warm days prevail, making pockets of the Med ideal for a dose of last minute winter sun. Elsewhere in Europe's cities, the crowds of summer have all but disappeared making it the perfect time of year for a spot of sightseeing.
