Ljubljana

Romantic, picturesque and historic, Slovenia’s capital city Ljubljana offers the visitor a taste of unspoilt and uncrowded old-world Europe. The welcome is warm, the riverside life is relaxing, the café and food scene is blossoming and the architecture ranges from Roman ruins, to medieval marvels, impressive baroque and the decorative style of the Vienna Secession.

Ljubljana

Overlooked by Ljubljana Castle, this is a wonderful destination for those interested in European history, culture, gastronomy and natural beauty. The Ljubljanica River is the lifeblood of the city crossed by a number of bridges including the famous Triple Bridge and Butcher’s Bridge which allows visitors to leave lovers’ padlocks. While the city is small and walkable, taking a boat tour offers a different perspective and afterwards you can enjoy relaxing at one of the riverside restaurants and cafes. For the energetic there is a winding trail up to the castle or alternatively take the funicular railway to enjoy cityscape views.
