This gracious Edwardian Manor House harks to the colonial days of old. Manicured gardens, pools and ponds, terraces and verandas spread through the gardens of the house. The views are breathtaking, overlooking the expansive plains and resident wildlife.
There are 15 elegant rooms available at the manor, a great option for a large group or an intimate retreat for couples wanting to experience an Eastern Cape safari. Evening meals and sundowners can be enjoyed inside or outside on the veranda or at the Boma after exciting game drives.
Shamwari is a beautiful wilderness reserve in the malaria free Eastern Cape. The 25,000 hectares cover a wide variety of different habitats and are home to healthy populations of a wide variety of African wildlife, including the Big 5.

Location
Shamwari Game Reserve is set in a malaria-free environment and it is the southernmost premier 'Big Five' game reserve in South Africa, boasting a huge variety of game over a vast 25,000 hectares.
Guests are advised to fly to Port Elizabeth and proceed to Shamwari Game Reserve by road transfer. Flights from Johannesburg to Port Elizabeth take approximately 1-hour 40-minutes. The distance from port Elizabeth to Shamwari Game Reserve is 72 kilometres.
