Morukuru Beach Lodge is the newest member of the Morukuru family. With only five suites this intimate property is a luxury boutique eco lodge based along the pristine coast line of the De Hoop Nature Reserve, ideal for those on a self drive adventure.

Morukuru Beach Lodge is a lovely option for couples or small families exploring the garden route. The property prides itself on being eco-friendly, sustainable and operates on 100% solar power with the design having been built with the greatest sensitivity to the environment. Nestled amongst the towering white sand dunes of the De Hoop Nature Reserve, Morukuru Beach Lodge consists of only 4 Ocean View Suites and 1 Honeymoon Suite and can be taken exclusively or per room. Each of these luxury suites is located on the ground floor and feature a large en suite bathroom, the epitome of beach side comfort.

At Morukuru, two guided activities are included daily however guests also have complimentary use of outdoor equipment such as mountain bikes, sand boards, snorkeling gear and so much more. Take advantage of the beautiful surroundings with guided walks or alternatively take things at your own pace as most activities can be done individually without a guide.

For whale enthusiasts, Morukuru Beach Lodge is a prime spot for whale watching. From mid-July through to November you can enjoy the views of the Southern Right Whales as they migrate towards the coastal basins off the Overberg Coast for the calving and nursing season.

Morukuru Beach Lodge is situated in the beautiful De Hoop Nature Reserve in Koppie Alleen set back from a 51 kilometre long beach, with sand dunes and limestone cliffs, costal fynbos and rock pools.

11-hour 30-minute flight from London to Cape Town followed by a 3 hour drive along the Garden Route to the Reserve or a 1 hour private charter flight.
