Perfect Pairings: Barcelona & the Catalan Coast

Feeling thoroughly exhilarated from your time in Barcelona it is now time to head to the enchanting and tranquil Catalan countryside. Your private driver will take you on a route less travelled stopping at a variety of quaint villages and sites to explore at your leisure. On your journey to Mas de Torrent you can stop to take in the pinewood coasts of Tossa de Mar on the shores of the Mediterranean and the southern coast town of Begur. Here you can submerge in a waterfront seafood lunch of delights. You’ll arrive at your hotel for the next three nights, Mas de Torrent Hotel & Spa. A Relais & Chateaux hotel which is a renovated 18th century Catalan farmhouse and one of the best hotels in the region.  

After a divine evening you will wake feeling refreshed for a bespoke wine and e-bike experience in the Cape of Creus. Jump on your e-bike and head for a private tour among the stunning vineyards of Ampordá Denomination of Origin and soak up the abundance of nature that surrounds you. Next you will head to the Cape of Creus peninsula where you will visit Cadaqués and Port Lligat. Take time for a relaxing amble through this idyllic spot and find a quiet corner for a lazy lunch. Dalí house is in the Port Lligat bay, which is one of the most popular coves in the region. The house consists of a series of fishermen’s houses that Dalí and his wife and muse, Gala, joined together in the form of a labyrinth.  

Your final experience will take you to an 18th century former farmhouse for a private gastronomic lunch with the owners. In this bespoke culinary experience, the owner and chef Pilar and her husband René will welcome you to spend a relaxing day chatting about food, wine, travels, culture and politics, while cooking and enjoying lunch together. After cooking with Pilar, you will sit down to enjoy the lunch you've just prepared, and René will select some wines to pair with it.
